Turn Scan Points On & Off Within Treedis
paul Christopher
I have seen this feature elsewhere but would love to see it within Treedis, I believe it would be so useful. To be able to quickly turn scan points on and off without having to go to into Matterport. Apart from being quick, you could also utilise it to easily create two varying tours without having to duplicate them in your Matterport account (take two spaces).

Thank you, here is rather long reply from facebook asking what would be the purpose of it, apologies it is long. I thought the benefits would be instantly recognised, but maybe it is the type of tours that people create do not require it. I first saw the feature on another platform where they describe it as "you can enable/disable Scan Points. In that way you can create different Space Versions with different blocked areas."
For me, if I have a tour, maybe just over 600 scan points, I need two variations. For example, one scan restricted for student and public access, or limited for security reasons. One full scan for teachers (onboarding, etc).
The project will require me to duplicate the tour in Matterport to allow two separate tours (different scan points enabled/disabled) to be imported into Treedis. As you know, the new Matterport model means my 600-point scan hosting fee is now classed as 3 spaces. If I duplicate the tour as I mentioned so I can get the variation of staff and students, now the cost increases to 6 scan spaces.
In Treedis, I would be able to add the same Matterport scan twice (half of the cost). On the tour needing restrictions, I simply disable what's needed and easily make 2 versions, easy, simple, and all in one program.
Another example: let's say you are looking to sell Treedis Connected Workers and a public tour of a facility, also Treedis IoT to a company. The same Matterport tour but each requiring different access levels. You take the single full Matterport tour into Treedis. Import it 3 times, edit scan points of each tour to serve the access needs of the company (Connected workers tour, IoT tour, restricted public scans tour) to suit each level of access nice and quick, all from within Treedis.

Hello Paul!
Thank you for your suggestion!
It does make sence, however, for now we need to see if this would be useful for other users as well, before we make such changings into the platform.
Thank you for your patience!
