Imagine marketing to old clients: "Have there been changes to your building over the last year or so? We now offer a refresh service!"

Previously scanned locations from months or even years ago that need updating? No problem! Open the old Matterport scan, rescan the updated areas, and either delete the outdated scan points on the Capture app, edit them in Matterport after uploading, or use Treedis’s brand-new turn-off scan point feature to disable unwanted areas. Then, insert the updated Matterport scan into Treedis.

That would be so easy, time and cost effective, however, as we know, this currently won’t work. Treedis doesn’t allow you to simply reinsert an updated Matterport scan and everything to work (since it has a different upload address after reuploading the updated job). This means everything you’ve done in Treedis would need to be recreated from scratch.

I know every platform works differently, so it’s not as simple as saying, “another platform does it, so why can’t Treedis?” But implementing this feature if possible could open up a great opportunity to offer old customers a reasonably priced option for updating their virtual tours.
